Mix and his brother Match lost their home when their owner passed away. They were discovered only days later, hungry and scared. Mix is the more outgoing sibling—he knows no stranger and loves being snuggled. He’s also friendly with dogs and cats, and will curl up with them if they allow it. He has food allergies and requires a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet.

Mix has so much love to give in his golden years. He's fostered in Pleasantville, NY, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet him. He can be adopted by himself or with his brother Match.

Virtual Home Visit. Foster parent will also join this video call to answer questions about the pet and show them on video.

Approve Application

Adopters receive a general approval to adopt.

4.
Meet the Pet

Adopters must meet the pet they want to adopt in person.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

This can be done before meeting the pet in person.

6.
Pay Fee

Payment can be made during the in person meeting if the adopter wishes to bring the pet home.

Rain or Shine Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue based in New York City. We provide safe, compassionate foster care for the most vulnerable dogs and cats — including seniors, animals with special needs, and those requiring medical treatment. We see them through rehabilitation and when they’re ready for adoption, match them with loving, committed adopters.
