My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mark is a fun dog who is looking for his next home. He is around 10 years young (he does not act like it) and came into the shelter heartworm positive. He went through the full treatment but then developed an upper respiratory tract infection, which is when we stepped in to bring him into the rescue. He is now better and ready to go home!

We believe Mark is a shepherd/husky mix because he displays some characteristics of both, and is small for the breeds at 45 lbs. He would be the perfect dog for someone who wants the breeds but does not have a huge yard/the ability to exercise them as much as the younger dogs need exercised. With that being said, he does have energy and would enjoy a good walk or two a day. He will talk to you if you leave him in a crate to express his disappointment before curling up to nap while you are gone. But his favorite spot is curled up next to you.

Mark qualities for our Golden Paws Program.

He is located in Brevard County, FL, and the application to adopt him can be found at www.mysaltydog.com.

Additional adoption info

Our application process is meant to provide enough background that we can ensure the dog is going to a good home, but also be flexible enough that people can get their dog quickly.
