My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Choosen is a sweet, social young cat who enjoys gentle connection and seeks out human company. When meeting new people, he’s shown relaxed, friendly body language! He comes out to greet, rubs against legs, enjoys neck scratches and happily leans into pets.

He’s comfortable being handled and shows clear signs of trust, even rolling over for affection and checking back in when someone leaves the room. Chosen has a calm, affectionate presence and seems to enjoy quiet moments and gentle attention.
He would likely do well in a home that enjoys an affectionate, people-oriented cat who likes to be part of what’s going on.

If you’re looking for a friendly, loving companion who connects easily with people, Choosen could be a wonderful match.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
