That face: those pleading yet slightly googly-eyes, the shy smile with his little teefers peeking through...we cannot get enough of this perfect boy!
Maxwell comes to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control, where he was known as Cornbread (we had recently had a dog by that name- a puppy from our Thanksgiving litter, so we changed his name back to the one his previous owner gave him). Maxwell was surrendered by his owner back in mid-November and sadly the reason cited was, "cannot afford." Poor Maxwell waited patiently at CACC for a rescue or an adopter for almost 3 months! Our team had seen him before, but every time we did we thought, "He is so cute and perfect, he will get adopted!" When we took him out again recently and saw him in playgroup at CACC, we knew we had to have him. We can't believe we got the opportunity to snag this incredible, resilient boy!
Maxwell was a volunteer favorite at CACC, and is now one of ours. He is very special, and such a gentle soul. His unbridled joy for the simple pleasures in life is so wholesome and adorable! He loves treats, and he gets soooo excited about balls. He lives for Ball! Maxwell loves all of the dogs he has met at our shelter, and all of the many people!
Maxwell is the best boy, and he deserves to be back in a home, which is all he knew before winding up in the shelter system through no fault of his own. We think he will transition back into domestic life easily. We hope you will inquire about Maxwell today!
Maxwell’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
