Gigi joined us from Philadelphia’s animal control shelter after she was found as a stray. She’s estimated to be around 10 years old and looking for a laidback home to match her low-key vibes. Looking for an easy-going companion? Gigi could be your girl!
Gigi is a 15-lb couch potato looking for a cozy place to land. She’s blind and hard of hearing but confidently navigates her world and learned the layout of her foster home in no time. At events and while outdoors, she doesn’t hesitate to sniff around and explore by following her nose. Gigi doesn’t seem to be able to do stairs (or doesn’t want to) but is easy to carry and content being chauffeured. She’s affectionate, loves sitting close to her humans and dog friends, is great with the cats in her foster home. She is sweet and respectful of everyone she meets, kids included. Gigi has mild urinary incontinence (we use diapers used when alone for long periods) but otherwise always goes potty outside. This low-key, lovely lump is ready to spend her golden years right beside you on the comfiest couch in the house.
Gigi has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue and will receive a dental cleaning with extractions prior to going to her forever home. She came to the shelter a bit overweight and with cataracts leading to blindness and she is also hard of hearing but her diagnostics have all shown her to be an otherwise healthy girl! She’s now on a healthy appropriate diet and working on slimming down.
Gigi is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete online adoption questionnaire!
