Nessie is a 2-year-old mixed breed weighing about 24 lbs. She’s a sensitive, nervous girl who is still trying to make sense of the shelter environment, but beneath her uncertainty is a truly sweet soul. Once Nessie feels safe and comfortable, she warms up into a gentle, affectionate pup who loves to snuggle close to her people.

While she hasn’t been officially dog tested in our care, Nessie did do well with a larger dog at another rescue and seems like she could be interested in canine friends. As always, a proper dog introduction would be done if her adopter has other dogs.

The shelter can be overwhelming for Nessie, so she hasn’t had the chance to show her full personality just yet. With patience, reassurance, and a calm home, this sweet girl is sure to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.

Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
