She came in as a stray on 1/9/26, and we believe she is about 2 years old. Fauna is like a shy little woodland elf who wandered out of the forest and into our shelter. You can’t quite tell from the pictures, but she’s very petite — only about 12–15 lbs, just the right size to perch gently in your lap.
At first, Fauna was timid and unsure, peeking out at the world with cautious eyes. But once she realized she was safe, her true magic appeared. She blossomed into all smiles, soaking up affection like sunshine through the trees. Belly rubs are her favorite spell, and sitting in your lap is her preferred resting place.
Fauna is a truly beautiful girl with a gentle soul, and she’s ready to trade the woods for a warm home and a loving heart. You will absolutely love her! She is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this sweet little forest fairy.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
