Ron is a wonderfully quirky little guy who looks like a twenty pound teddy bear come to life. He is affectionate, soulful, and absolutely loves to cuddle. Ron makes the sweetest eye contact and wants to be close to his people as much as possible. If you work from home, he will happily keep you company and may even insist on being a full time lap dog.
Ron enjoys going for walks and gets very excited to head outside, though he has his own unique walking style and tends to zig zag rather than walk in a straight line. It just adds to his charm.
Ron would benefit from continued dog socialization. Because of this, he may do best as an only dog, or in a home that understands his needs and is committed to helping him build confidence around other dogs.
Ron needs a home with no small children and no cats. He would do well in an adult household or a family with older, respectful kids who understand dog boundaries.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $150.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $350.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
