Trixie came to Tigerlily from the shelter after proving she had a little too much spice for the busy shelter environment. While her feisty streak helped her stand out, it also meant she needed a calmer place to truly shine—and that’s exactly what she’s getting now.
This sweet kitten is a mix of shy and playful. Once she feels safe, Trixie loves to romp around, chase toys, and show off her kitten energy. She just needs a patient, understanding family who will let her set the pace and help her build confidence with gentle handling, routine, and lots of positive encouragement.
Trixie would absolutely thrive in a home with another young, playful cat who can be her buddy, teacher, and partner in fun. A feline friend will help her feel secure and bring out her happiest, silliest self. She may do well with older, cat-savvy children and a calmer-type dog with slow introductions.
If you’re willing to put in a little extra love and patience, Trixie will reward you with trust, playful moments, and the joy of watching a shy kitten blossom into a confident companion. 💕

If your application is approved, one of our board members will contact you for a phone interview.

Meet the Pet
During your phone interview, we will work on setting up a date/time for you to meet your new family member at the Petsmart in Troy.
Additional adoption info
* We do require adopters to be at least 21 years old.
* If you are leasing, we do ask that you provide a copy of your rental agreement showing that cats are allowed.
* We also ask that all adults living in the home agree with the adoption and addition of a feline friend to the family.
* For families with young children (under 6), kittens over 6 months are best.
* If the pet is to be alone for a significant amount of time, we ask that you consider adopting an older kitten or adult, or consider adopting two kittens to keep each other company. Young kittens are susceptible to social-depression if alone for a significant amount of time.
* We also discourage "gift" adoptions unless it is from a parent to a minor child.
Our adoption fee of $100 (cash/check) includes feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, flea preventative, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines. All Tigerlily cats are thoroughly examined by a veterinarian. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered prior to being available for adoption.
