My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bruiser — A Gentle Soul Ready for a Peaceful Home

Bruiser is a sweet, lovable dog whose need for rehoming is due to the loss of his human family, not because of any behavior or care concerns. He came from a loving home with a large yard and is now settling into foster care, where his calm, affectionate nature is easy to see.

Bruiser has a gentle demeanor and a deep appreciation for comfort. He loves finding a soft spot to curl up and is happiest relaxing near his people. While he still has some verve and playful moments, he is mostly a cuddly couch potato looking for a fellow “potato partner” to share quiet time and companionship.

He has not had prior experience with children or cats. Bruiser currently lives with one other dog, whom he tolerates, but he has not been observed with unfamiliar dogs and would likely thrive as an only dog in a peaceful, low-key home where he can truly relax. While he didn’t receive much formal training in leash walking or commands in his previous home, Bruiser is smart and motivated by both food and toys. He is already making progress in foster care and would continue to improve with gentle guidance and consistency.

Bruiser is a strong chewer and does best with durable toys and appropriate chew treats, but he has not shown any destructive behavior toward household items. When left alone during the workday in his foster home, he simply sleeps, showing how well-mannered and easygoing he is.

Bruiser is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy comfort, routine, and plenty of cozy companionship. He’s ready to settle in and share his sweet, steady presence with someone who will cherish him.
