My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apply to Adopt Me!

Shadow is a 1yo, approx. 7lb. male chihuahua mix who was abandoned by his owner. Even so, he loves being with his person. He takes a bit to warm up to new people, but once he does he loves affection and belly rubs, and loves to give kisses. He is mostly house trained and is learning that the leash means go potty. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash (may pull a bit at first) and rides well in a car. He does have a lot of energy so he needs someone who is active with him and has a fenced yard for him to run and play in. Shadow previously lived with a large dog, and also does well with small dogs and cats. He can be growly at first when meeting new people, has some separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone. Loud noises scare him. Shadow loves small toys, especially rope toys. But keep your shoes up or he will think they are there for him. We are preferring an adult-only home for him, but if the home has kids they should be older and respectful. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Shadow, please complete an app and tell us more about you.

Go meet their pets

Because our pets are housed in foster homes, we schedule meet and greets once an application is approved.

More about this rescue

We are a small 501(c)3 dog rescue. We take owner surrenders and we pull from local shelters. We, like so many others, are just trying to make a difference.
