Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet lover boy Dustin is looking for someone's lap to snooze in!
This lovable boy is wondering if he could get used to being someone you loved? Dustin (who is lovingly called Capaldi due to his deep, emotional eyes and his crooner meows where he expresses how much he loves those scratches!) He is not shy about using his voice to tell you how happy he is to hopefully find his forever home!
Despite his earlier rough road in life, including being returned to the shelter when prior owners could no longer care for him, he remains the sweetest cat who just wants a cozy bed and gentle pets. Dustin (aka Capaldi) still very much loves his people and warms up quickly, often jumping into your lap for some pets and chin scritches. Prior to coming to PAWS, he was found outside with a limp in his front paw. With some rest, his limp has resolved and he’s getting back to curiously exploring the house, chasing feather toys, or leaping on the different levels of a cat tree. He also will gladly join you on the couch for a lazy day of relaxing too. He was also found to have a heart murmur, and he is on a once daily preventative medication to keep his body healthy, which he takes each night. He also has a cough that is being monitored but is not causing him any distress currently.
Dustin (aka Capaldi) would do best in a lower energy home without small children where he can snooze, watch the birds and trees out of a window, and pounce on a feather toy. He currently is living with two cats and seems energized and eager to play with them, so he would likely do well in a home with another easy going, playful cat. He hasn’t been around dogs yet, but given how laid back he is, with time he likely would adjust well.
Are you ready to let this soulful cat with is big, expressive eyes warm his way into your heart and home? Please consider adopting Dustin (aka Capaldi)!
