Atlas is a 16-pound male pug with a tender spirit and a deep bond with his best friend, Nova. Found together as strays, Atlas and Nova are a bonded pair looking for a forever home where they can continue their journey side by side.
Atlas is a moderate-energy pup who enjoys leashed walks, especially when Nova is by his side. He’s great in public spaces and crowds, and rides calmly in the car. While loud noises can startle him, Atlas finds comfort in his crate, often retreating there for quiet naps or solo time with the door open.
This sweet boy gets along well with other dogs and is learning the ropes of house training. He was recently neutered and currently wears a belly band to help with marking. Atlas is mostly housebroken but may have occasional accidents when unfamiliar scents throw him off. He’s also scheduled for a dental cleaning soon to ensure he’s in tip-top shape for adoption.
Atlas is a gentle listener who responds well to his foster parents and loves snuggling with Nova between play sessions. He prefers soft toys and has a curious streak when it comes to shoes and shoelaces—so a little shoe vigilance is advised! He navigates stairs with ease and has no mobility issues. While he can be timid around men at first, he warms up with patience and kindness.
Due to his separation anxiety when away from Nova, Atlas would thrive in a home where they can stay together and where someone is around often to provide reassurance and companionship.
