Meet Slug! Big, dark, and undeniably handsome, Slug is a goofy pup whose name couldn’t be more fitting- thanks to the impressive amount of drool he brings to the table..and walls. His name will likely change in his future home, but around here it suits him perfectly.
Sweet baby Slug is an 11 month old Cane Corso mix who came to us after his owner could no longer care for him. This big, strong boy is all about butt wiggles, sloppy kisses, and all the love! Seriously, this guy doesn’t seem to have ever known a bad day.
He’s been friendly with our staff and is curious about the other dogs, though we don’t yet know how he feels about small animals or children. Slug is very much an independent thinker who prefers to do things on his own terms, so someone with large breed or Corso experience would be a great match to help guide him as he matures. Slug is VERY strong on leash and will need some continued training, but he does great in our fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy himself. He’s extremely snack motivated, which helps a lot with training, and despite his size and strength, he’s truly just a big ol baby at heart.
Slug is officially accepting adoption applications and is ready to find a forever home that loves big dogs, big personalities, and a little extra drool.
