My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I am Trevor. 🐾

I am a brown and white tabby with warm yellow eyes and a calm, gentle nature. I came from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and I am now settling into a new and quieter chapter of my life.

I am still getting to know my surroundings and the people around me, and they are still getting to know me too. I take things at my own pace, but I do enjoy pets and affection, especially when they are offered gently and with patience. I appreciate a peaceful environment, soft voices, and kind hands.

As I continue to settle in, my personality is slowly beginning to shine. With time, consistency, and love, I know I will grow into a wonderful companion for someone who understands that good things are worth waiting for.

I am looking for a home where I can feel safe, respected, and cared for. If you are willing to let a bond build naturally, I would love the chance to be your calm and affectionate friend.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
