My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Don’t let the name fool you - this Kong is a total sweetheart with a seriously cool look. He’s a gorgeous boy with the solid build of a Staffordshire and the scruffy, wiry coat of a terrier. He`s basically a walking heart stealer!

Kong is easy to manage on leash and he knows how to sit on command. He takes treats gently from your hand too! While well mannered and mostly calm, Kong has a bit of a playful side too. He loves toys, especially playing fetch! He loves being pet, but he`s also perfectly content entertaining himself for a bit too.

With his medium energy level, Kong is a great balance of playful and chill. Come meet Kong - you might just fall in love with his scruffy charm!

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
