Meet Pippa (GA) — tiny, tender, and tougher than she looks.
At just 8–9 weeks old (as of mid-January 2026), this baby Poodle has already survived a story no puppy should ever have to live. Pippa was discovered beneath a house on a flooded property, huddled beside her sister after a devastating storm swept through. Their mom and the rest of the litter didn’t make it. Pippa is one of only two who were able to hold on long enough to be rescued. She arrived with severe eye infections, and our veterinary team is giving her the careful treatment and evaluation she needs. Even with sore eyes and a heartbreaking past, Pippa greets the world with a softness that stops you in your tracks. She leans into warmth, relaxes into gentle hands, and has that quiet, grateful sweetness that only the bravest little survivors carry. She’s adorable. She’s delicate. She’s resilient in the most endearing way. And she’s ready for a future filled with safety, affection, and a family who will never let her face another storm alone. If you’re looking for a puppy whose courage is matched only by her cuteness, Pippa is waiting. Apply to adopt at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Pippa's adoption fee is $950.
Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Pippa (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Thank you!
RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
