My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sophie – A Sweet Senior with a Gentle, Loving Heart!

Sophie is a shy but sweet, cuddly senior kitty who’s looking for a quiet, indoor-only home where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy her golden years at her own pace. She loves cozy comforts and calm companionship and will happily soak up affection once she trusts you.

She seems okay with visiting kids who are mature and respectful, but she’s not looking to live in a busy household with children. Sophie once had a special kitty friend she loved, though how she’ll feel about other cats is unknown—she may do best as your one-and-only or with very careful, slow introductions. No dogs, please—she prefers a peaceful, dog-free home.

Sophie’s Perfect Setup:
Plenty of comfy hiding spots and soft nap zones
Cat trees and scratching posts for gentle stretching
Window perches for sunbathing and quiet bird-watching
TONS of toys, especially interactive ones and catnip

Favorite Things:
Treats, wet food, catnip, cozy naps, and gentle cuddle time

Important Medical Note:
Sophie is FIV-positive, which affects her immune system and means she can get sick more easily. With good indoor care, regular vet visits, and a low-stress environment, many FIV+ cats live long, happy lives.

If you have a calm home and a soft spot for senior kitties who just want love and comfort, Sophie would be honored to spend her golden years with you.
