♥️🐾 Meet Willow 🐾♥️
Willow would love nothing more than a warm bed with the sunlight shining down on her as she naps in the safety of a real home.
We met Willow when shelter volunteers reached out on the day she arrived. A resident told animal control she’d been hanging around outside, looking for somewhere to stay warm. Volunteers quickly realized she was blind and likely hearing impaired too. She was also incredibly underweight.
Life had not been easy for this elderly cat for quite some time. After a medical evaluation, we discovered Willow was suffering from high blood pressure as well.
We are happy to share that after her latest follow up appointment, Willow’s blood pressure is much more controlled. That’s thanks in no small part to the diligence of the volunteers who made sure her medication was given each day.
They also discovered her absolute favorite meal. (Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers if you were wondering 😉)

Feline $100
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, combo test, distemper vaccine, and rabies vaccine if old enough.
Canine $150
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, first distemper vaccine, and rabies vaccine and heartworm test if old enough.
Cash only is accepted.

The Wyandotte Animal Adoption Center acts as the adoption facility for Downriver Central Animal Control. The intake facility (located in Southgate, MI) handles all intakes (strays, abandoned animals, court cases...). The adoption facility (located in Wyandotte, MI) brings the animals over (if adoptable) and have completed their requisite holds at the intake facility. This can sometimes take a few weeks if the adoption center is at capacity. The facilities handle approximately 500-700 animals per year.
OUR ADOPTION FACILITY IS RESCUE FRIENDLY.
If you are a foster for a recognized rescue and are interested in a particular animal, please email us at wacvolunteers@gmail.com!
