My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goomba is a 4-year-old male domestic shorthair with the ultimate “chill guy” personality. A little on the chunky side and proudly lazy, he’s perfectly content spending his days lounging in a cozy spot, quietly supervising the household like the relaxed king he is.

Goomba does well with other cats and is mostly indifferent to them — he’s independent, low-drama, and appreciates a calm environment where he can do his own thing. He’s not one to stir up trouble or demand constant attention. Instead, he’s happiest simply sharing your space and keeping you company in his own easygoing way.

Fully litter-box trained with excellent indoor manners, Goomba is as polite as he is laid-back. If you’re looking for a quiet, low-maintenance companion who’s happy to nap nearby and bring a peaceful presence to your home, Goomba might just be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
