Meet Laverne!
Laverne is so happy to be out of the shelter and settling into foster life—especially since her foster dad has already started spoiling her (as she deserves). She’s about 2 years old and we believe she’s a Chihuahua mix, possibly with a little Rat Terrier sprinkled in. Whatever the mix, she’s a petite 9-pound sweetheart with a gentle spirit and a whole lot of love to give.
Laverne is fully vetted and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who has a big heart for a small dog. She’s already learned how to use the doggie door and does great with it, using it when her foster dad is outside to supervise—safety first! She enjoys time in the backyard but also appreciates the comforts of being indoors with her people.
If you’re looking for a tiny companion who’s grateful, loving, and ready to be someone’s little shadow, Laverne might just be your girl. Her adoption fee is $225.

Additional adoption info
We are a RESCUE ORGANIZATION; please complete your online Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. We require an adoption application, vet reference, and a home visit with the pet. ALL of our pets are spayed, neutered or scheduled prior to being adopted. They are UTD on shots, heartworm negative, treated or scheduled to be treated, and micro chipped. They must be kept on heartworm preventative for the rest of their lives. Our adoption fees vary. Puppies have an increased adoption fee since they need three or four sets of shots, multiple de-wormings, and other puppy needs to keep them healthy.

CPR is an animal rescue organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary goal is to save dogs from euthanization at shelters as a result of factors such as a lack of funding and space. These wonderful animals are put at risk because they have no one to claim and adopt them. We aim to give them the second chance that they so deserve. Our animals come to us from shelters around DFW and stay in foster homes where they are given the medical attention (vaccinations, surgeries, heart worm testing, etc) and care that they deserve.
