My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello - my name is Sketchy. I was adopted as a kitten from CAWS but my mom needed to moved Costa Rica & she was worried the trip would be too much for me. I am such a handsome cat with stunning markings and remarkable bright eyes. I am a very gentle soul to both humans and the other cats in my foster home. I can often be found on the top of the cat tree looking at the world and most of the time, one of the other cats is curled up with me. I took a little time to find my confidence again in my foster home so you may been to be patient with me while I adjust to yet another change but I'm worth it. I will reward you love & sweet purrs as we bond for a lifetime. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
