At first glance, Carlisle looks like a giant, majestic lion. Big floof. Regal presence. Serious whisker game.
In reality? He’s much more lamb than lion. Soft, gentle, and wrapped in the kind of fur you’ll want to bury your face in.
Carlisle is a sensitive soul who likes to take his time adjusting to new places. When he first arrived in foster care, he famously spent about a month “observing” from the safety of a box. Not hiding. Strategizing. Scouting the scene. Very important work.
The fastest way to his heart?

Once that trust was earned, Carlisle began to bloom.
His big breakthrough came when he met his foster roommates: two absolutely unhinged, bounce-off-the-walls kittens. Turns out Carlisle isn’t a grumpy old lion at all… he’s actually just a very large kitten. He loves to play, especially with wand toys, and thrives with fun, interactive enrichment that keeps his curious brain engaged.
Now that he’s settled, his sweet and silly personality shines. Carlisle is a quirky, funny guy who will keep you laughing with his expressions, antics, and gentle charm. He’s soft in every sense of the word and will do best with a patient adopter who understands that some of the best cats are slow-burn friendships.
