My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cookie! 🍪🐾

Cookie is a 1-year-old male Pomsky with a big personality and an even bigger love for life! He absolutely adores people and gets along great with other dogs, making him a social butterfly wherever he goes. Cookie is also a major escape artist-this clever guy can scale or outsmart even 6-foot fences-so he'll need a secure home, constant supervision outdoors, and an adopter who's ready to stay one step ahead. With the right setup and plenty of engagement, Cookie will be a fun, affectionate, and entertaining companion who keeps you laughing (and on your toes!).

More about this shelter

HHHS has been a permanent part of the Topeka community since its founding May 4, 1938. The organization is incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) business for the purpose of sheltering companion animals in need of care, advocating for anti-cruelty protection of animals and promoting humane education and animal welfare issues. HHHS fosters the adoption of companion animals into responsible homes and reunites lost animals with their owners; promotes sterilization of animals to help reduce overpopulation; provides a facility accessible to the general public; serves the community with educational programs addressing animal welfare issues; and maintains a fiscally responsible organization.
