About Me
Greta is what we lovingly call a “bonus dog.” While we were attempting to trap a puppy, Greta happily walked right into the trap herself — clearly ready for help. Found as a stray, she has shown from the start that she is calm, gentle, and easygoing.
Since arriving, Greta has continued to relax and settle in, showing just how adaptable and resilient she is. She is excellent in her crate and clearly finds comfort there — walking in on her own and settling calmly. Her foster has been handling her ears without issue, and Greta has been perfect for it. As she becomes more comfortable, she has shown a playful and affectionate side, offering happy little bounces when excited.
Personality
Greta is a calm, relaxed girl who prefers a peaceful environment. She’s not reactive and takes things in stride, quietly observing the world around her. She enjoys resting, chewing on a bone, and decompressing in her crate, and she appreciates gentle companionship and consistency.
Training & House Manners
Greta is still learning leash routines and needs encouragement to understand that it’s okay to potty while on leash, which is common for dogs who may have lived outdoors.
She is calm in the car. While she may need a little encouragement to get in, once inside she rides beautifully — quietly laying down and looking around.
Socialization
Dogs: Calm and non-reactive; shows no reaction when seeing other dogs pass by
People: Gentle and cooperative; adjusts well once she feels safe
Energy Level
Low to moderate. Greta enjoys calm routines, quiet time, and predictable environments, with occasional playful moments.
Ideal Home
Greta would do best in a home that appreciates a calm, easygoing companion and can offer patience as she continues to settle in. She’s a wonderful fit for someone looking for a low-drama, sweet, affectionate dog.
