Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Location: Hurley, SD
This incredible dog is a tripod—but don’t let that fool you. Trooper gets around pretty well and doesn’t let having three legs slow them down much. Learning to run, loves to play, cuddle, and is like any other dog… just with a little extra charm.
Trooper is a loving, resilient soul who has already proven how strong and adaptable he is. He enjoys a low key day, on the couch with a few zoomies a good bone and lots of toys! Trooper is great with kids/other dogs/cats/farm animals and would thrive in a home where they can be part of the family.
Tripod dogs often surprise people with how active and capable they are—and Troop is no exception. They’re looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and plenty of belly rubs.
Trooper is fully potty trained, not a fan of kennels so he will need free range of the house. He has never shown a curious behavior or destructive side. Trooper is still learning the ropes on 3 legs, and although thriving stairs and hardwood floors are not his best friend. Trooper is beyond gentle with anyone he comes into contact with.
If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who has overcome challenges and still chooses joy every day, Trooper would be your perfect match!

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
