My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Northfield, MN

Bambi is a sweet puppy with a heart of gold — it just takes a little time and patience to unlock.

Her best attributes and quirks:
⁃ She loves her daily walks or car rides and can hardly contain her excitement when the harness comes out
⁃ Potty trained, house trained, and kennel trained!!!
⁃ Low maintenance and total couch potato
⁃ Stomps her feet when she’s ready to play
⁃ Plays well with the resident dog (though it did take a couple weeks for her to get comfortable enough to do so)
⁃ Likes to borrow boots from the shoe rack, but never to destroy, just for the attention 😂
- Absolutely loves getting loved on

Things to be aware of:
⁃ Requires slow introductions with new people and new dogs
⁃ Would do better with dogs who can pick up on her social cues
⁃ Sometimes growls at new people and new dogs to communicate she’s nervous or uncomfortable
⁃ Would do better with adults or older children that can respect her space at first (aka the non-grabby humans)
⁃ Unknown how she is with cats

Bambi would thrive in a patient and loving home that understands trust is earned and is willing to let her set the pace. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty, companionship, and a front-row seat to watching a once-shy dog blossom into her best self.

---------------

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
