Yams came to us after being found as a stray in the city of Philadelphia. Despite the stressful circumstances of intake to the shelter life, Yams has remained friendly and gentle with everyone she’s met. She has shown a sweet, affectionate nature and a willingness to trust.
Yams is a 4 year old mixed breed who is a cuddle bug, a lover, and as cute as could be! She loves baby talk, will happily melt into your arms for snuggles, and prefers affection over treats or toys. She’s a little shy in new situations but warms up quickly with patience. Yams also seems interested in other dogs, greeting them softly through a fence.
Yams is a young dog that will require a family up to the task of providing her the physical and mental exercise and training that all dogs require. They will need a family who can give her the patience she deserves as she transitions into a new home and environment.
