My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Nugget, the friendliest void you’ll ever meet! This boy becomes besties with everyone he meets. Don’t believe us? We have the selfies he took with our friends to prove it (no joke, ask us).

Nugget is a sweet, energetic, and playful black kitty who just wants to be a part of whatever his humans or foster siblings are up to. He plays tag around the house with his little sister, Nott the Brave. He curls up with her and his sister Sprinkle for naps. . Due to his social nature, he would do best adopted with a friend or into a home that already has another cat.

Nugget makes sure to remind his foster parents that he loves them by climbing into their faces to purr and give kisses only about a million times a day. He’s also learned the trick from Sprinkle of sitting on their heads all night and purring. Since it usually results in foster mom grabbing him and snuggling him close, he seems to think it's working.

When he’s not smothering the world with affection, he is playing, playing, playing. He loves interactive play with his humans, especially feather toys and the red dot. But he also thinks that springs, mice, and Christmas trees are fun, too! We can guarantee you’ll run out of energy before he does.

Nugget is about 6 months old and is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV negative. Consider adding this lovebug to your family today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
