My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Echo! 🐾

Echo is a beautiful 7 month old, GSD/Malinois with a heart full of love and energy to spare! This fun-loving pup wants nothing more than to be your shadow, following you from room to room and staying by your side through every adventure. Whether you're working from home, going for a run, or just relaxing on the couch, Echo will be right there with you, ready to soak up every moment together.

Echo is super fun and always up for playtime, she is the perfect blend of loyal companion and energetic playmate. This social butterfly absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or with regular doggy playdates.

She would love an active family who can keep up with a medium energy breed. Someone who works from home or can bring their dog along—Echo wants to be with you 24/7!

Echo would love a fenced yard so she can run and play, she is great with kids but as she came to us completely emaciated, she is always VERY hungry and will grab snacks at any given moment.

She is not crate trained but does great gated in the kitchen when left alone, just hide all snacks and treats!

A home with another friendly dog would be ideal

Echo is incredibly smart and very treat motivated, she will need mental and physical stimulation and would not be suited to an apartment or condo.

If you're looking for a velcro dog who will be your loyal shadow and best friend, Echo is waiting to meet you!

Echo is spayed, utd on vaccines, dewormed and fecal tested, microchipped 💕

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
