Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Ghost. 👻🐾
Meow, meow… I’m a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, I like to talk to my people and quietly let you know I’m around. I’m looking for a family with a bit of patience and understanding—because I really do live up to my name. I tend to creep softly through the house and observe before I fully settle in.
I spent my early life outside and feral, so the indoor world is still pretty new to me. Thankfully, Friends of Animals stepped in and showed me that inside life can be warm, safe, and full of love. I’m learning every day how nice it feels to be an indoor kitty and to finally live my best life.
I may take a little time to adjust, but with kindness, consistency, and love, I promise I’ll be worth the wait. If you have a calm home, a gentle heart, and a soft spot for a beautiful gray kitty, then I just might be your guy. 💙🐱

More about this shelter
Moore County Friends of Animals is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue and adoption center in the second smallest county in Tennessee, with a population of just over 6,300.
We were founded in 2013 by volunteers to solve the stray/overpopulation problem in our county. Moore County does NOT have a county animal shelter, FoA is the only resource our community has. Our mission is to provide a safe, comfortable place for unwanted dogs and cats from Moore County to stay while they wait to be adopted into their forever home. They will receive quality care and will be fully vetted, which will include spay or neutering, preventatives and vaccinations. We will provide financial assistance for spay/neuter procedures
for residents within Moore County when funds are available and we will educate the community on how to properly care for their pets and the importance of spay/neuter. We will also spay/neuter Community
cats of Moore County when funds are available.
When able, we will provide low income residents
of Moore County with pet food.
