Rowena is an interesting dog. She is cute, but looks like the dog version of angry cat. She looks at you with nothing but judgement and disgust. If I don't put the goat milk in her bowl before she gets to it, she looks at me as though I am the worst human on earth and I obviously promptly comply. I honestly don't know what celebrity dumped her in the shelter, but I am certainly not equipped to provide her the usual level of pampering and service to which she is accustomed. She throws her bedding about, as if complaining that no one has fluffed her pillow and left her a chocolate (oh the horrors). She is not a fan of riding in the car, but will fall asleep on your arm if you choose to donate that to her for her comfort. Otherwise, she will remain staring at you and occasionally whimper to remind you, you are inadequate. We have discovered that she will only delight in her food bowl if you are providing people food. Currently, she is getting left over turkey. She has enjoyed bowls topped with shredded cheese or other meat that is not her dog food. She did on one occasion greet me with excitement and tail wags. Its still not clear to me what I did that day to deserve such attentions, and it was short lived. She has walked on a leash once, but decided its not for her and now flatly refuses to do anything other than stand around and look pretty. I indicated it is unknown how she will react to children but I would anticipate that she would react to them the same way she reacts to everything - which is to say - no reaction whatsoever, except maybe to turn her head, or re-fluff her bed and lay down again. She does sleep what seems like 16 to 20 hours a day. At least she is cute.Fill out an adoption application directly on our website at www.lionelslegacy.org
