**Meet Maggie 🐶💙**

Maggie is a **4-year-old Cattle Dog** looking for a **calm, understanding home** where she can feel safe and settled. She’s smart, playful, and loves **fetch and balloons 🎈**, plus she knows **sit and shake**.

She’s lived with kids, dogs, and cats before, but after a recent incident with another dog, Maggie would do best as the **only pet** while she builds confidence in a new home. Maggie is **affectionate and loyal**, preferring **one-on-one time** and a quieter environment.

In the shelter, she’s been a bit **timid but very sweet**, doing best with **slow, gentle introductions**. A home with **older children only** and low activity would be ideal for her.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
