My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kissy Face, yes, that’s really her name. We know. We know. Somewhere out there, a very creative person looked at this lovely mother cat and thought, “Kissy Face. That’s the one.” And now here we are, honoring that choice with the same grace and dignity that Kissy Face herself carries every day.

Name aside, this beautiful mama arrived with her three adorable kittens, and she has been the picture of patience, sweetness, and quiet strength. She’s done the hard work of raising her babies, and now she’s finally ready for something she’s more than earned: a home of her own, where she can retire her “full-time mom” badge and enjoy a little pampering.

Kissy Face is all about the good life, sweet attention, cozy beds, and a little playtime to keep things interesting. And here is the plot twist no one saw coming: this mama apparently likes to play fetch. Yes, fetch. Toss it, she brings it back, like she is casually showing off an extra talent you did not know you needed in a cat.

If you’re ready to give a deserving mama a fresh start (and maybe a new nickname if you feel inspired), come meet Kissy Face. She’s sweet, resilient, and absolutely ready to kiss motherhood goodbye and say hello to her forever home.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
