My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hank Jr., a handsome new arrival grey and white tabby with big “local celebrity” energy and exactly zero information about Hank Sr. We have questions. Hank Jr. has questions. If you happen to meet a mysterious Hank Sr. in the wild, please let him know his son is doing his best, looking sharp in his stylish grey and white stripes, and is currently accepting applications for a forever family.

Since arriving, Hank Jr. has been a bit shy, the “let me take a minute to read the room” type. Give him a little patience and a gentle hello, and you’ll start to see his sweet side peek through. Come meet Hank Jr. and see if you’re the one who gives him what every Jr. deserves: a loving home, a soft landing, and maybe, just maybe, a complete origin story.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
