Lenny is a lovable Pit Bull who shows his affection by being a big 'leaner,' happily pressing his body into his people when he wants love. He enjoys staying active and would make a great companion for hiking and long walks, then settling in for cozy couch snuggles afterward. Lenny would likely do best as the only dog in the household, where he can soak up all the attention. With his affectionate nature and balanced energy, he's the perfect mix of adventure buddy and cuddle companion.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
