Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Una, a sweet soul looking for patience and love! Una is a 1-year-old, 44-pound black-and-white beauty with a timid heart and a deep desire for quiet understanding. While her time at the shelter has been overwhelming for her, she has made small but meaningful strides with the dedicated support of staff and volunteers. Initially too scared to even leave her kennel, Una has learned to venture outside and shows more confidence while walking and playing outdoors. She’s still a little nervous, but her gentle nature shines through as she bravely navigates new experiences. Una seemed relaxed and curious when we introduced her to another dog here at the shelter. A future home with a canine companion could be promising for her confidence, but proper introductions will be key. Una is seeking a calm, experienced household where she can bloom at her own pace, ideally with a family that understands her nervousness and can offer her plenty of time, love, and positive reinforcement. Her journey so far has already proven this sweet girl has the potential to grow and build trust; she just needs the right home to help her fully flourish. If you have a quiet space and a big heart, Una is ready to meet you!
