Meet Oslo, a 10-year-old terrier mix weighing 25.1 pounds. This sweet little guy has settled beautifully into foster care and quickly proven himself to be one very special companion. After getting the grand tour of the house and yard, he made himself right at home and hasn’t looked back.
Oslo is house-trained and does best when he’s given a little time to learn the routine in a new home. Once he figures things out, he’s consistent and reliable. He is also crate trained and rests comfortably there when needed. In the mornings, he’ll politely come to your bedside to let you know he’s ready to start the day. It’s hard to think of a sweeter alarm clock.
He is very food motivated, which has made training a breeze. Oslo already knows sit, come, down, stay, and even crawl. He’s continuing to work on leash manners and improves with consistency. He enjoys his daily walks and thrives on having a predictable routine.
Oslo loves people and truly shines during snuggle time. He will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you, then settle into his beloved dog bed for a nap once he’s satisfied that all is well. In the evenings, he’s content to curl up beside you and soak up all the pets and scratches you’re willing to give. He isn’t a big barker, doesn’t jump on furniture, and has great house manners.
He rides well in a crate in the car and recently did well at the groomer, though he wasn’t a fan of the hair dryer. Oslo is good with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. Because he loves one-on-one attention, he may be happiest as an only dog, but he could also do well with the right canine companion. We do not know how he is with cats.
Oslo would love a tender, consistent home that will continue to nurture his training and keep him on a routine. He is adaptable, easygoing, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow with plenty of charm, Oslo may be your perfect match.
His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
