My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuit! 🐾 AKA Lord Farquaad!

Biscuit is a sweet, low-key little guy who's looking for a human to call his very own! This boy has mastered the art of being the perfect couch companion – he's happiest when he's right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention you can give.

Biscuit is a true homebody who loves the simple pleasures in life. His idea of the perfect day? Relaxing in his crate (which he adores!), getting endless booty scratches, and enjoying quiet companionship with his favorite person. He's polite, well-mannered, and has beautiful house manners – fully potty-trained and crate-trained like a pro!
This sweet boy has a gentle soul and appreciates a calm, predictable routine. While he can be a little shy when first meeting new people (especially when hands come over his head), he warms up beautifully with patience and kindness. He's not much of a player – he'd much rather have your undivided attention through pets and cuddles than chase after toys.
The Ideal Home for Biscuit:
Biscuit would thrive in a quieter home where he can be the center of attention. He has a luxating patella that makes him skip occasionally with his back legs, so he's not looking to run marathons or go on intense adventures – just leisurely strolls and lots of relaxation time. He'd do best as an only dog or with one calm, small female companion, as he prefers to keep his space and his human to himself.
If you're looking for a devoted shadow who will follow you from room to room, curl up next to you on the couch, and look at you with those adoring eyes, Biscuit just might be your perfect match. This little guy has so much love to give – he's just waiting for the right person to share it with!

Crate-trained and loves his crate
Potty-trained (may mark initially but is easily redirected)
Low to moderate energy
Best suited for a calm, adult-only home or older kids
Not a chewer
Great in the car
Prefers being the only dog or with one small, calm female
Neutered, utd on vaccines, fecal tested, microchipped, recent dental.

Ready to meet your new best friend? Biscuit can't wait to find his forever cuddle buddy!

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
