My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Pickles! 🐾
Breed: German Shepherd × Collie Mix 🐶
Approximate Size: Likely smaller than a full-size Shepherd

💛 Sweetest Pup Alert! 💛
Pickles is the ultimate cuddle bug 🥰—he melts into your arms or laps for pets and love. He’s calm, well-behaved, and gentle with my toddler, tween, and teen, making him the perfect family fur baby! 🐕‍🦺

🎾 Playful & Gentle
Pickles enjoys playtime with puppy toys and keeps it chill—no over-excitement here! He’s also fantastic around cats 🐱—curious, polite, and always knows when to give them space. No chasing, just sweet sniffs and respectful pats.

🍽️ Food & Fun
He eats well, shares his food without issue, and has no food aggression. His stunning coat—soft brown, black, and white—makes him just as adorable as he is lovable, complete with a fluff-tastic snout 🐽. Bath time is a little adventure, but he’s learning quickly!

🛏️ House & Crate Trained
Pickles goes in and out of his crate with ease and understands “potty” 🪴—he does his business outside on the grass like a perfect gentleman.

💖 A Heart-Melting Story
Pickles and his siblings spent their first two months in a crate outside in rain and heat 😢. Despite such a rough start, he’s grown into a dream pup with so much love to give and a strong desire to learn. With his big paws, he’s ready to keep growing, learning, and melting hearts along the way! 🌟

✨ Looking For:
A loving forever home (or foster!) where cuddles, playtime, and snuggles are always on the menu. Pickles is ready to be your loyal, gentle, and endlessly loving companion. 💕

🐾 Fun Facts:
• Total cuddle bug 🛋️
• Plays nicely with kids & cats 👶🐱
• Shares food like a champ 🍲
• Dream coat & fluff-tastic snout 🐽
• Crate & potty training in session ✅

More about this rescue

The Follow Your Heart Foundation is committed to preventing the unnecessary euthanization and abuse of abandoned and/or abused animals.

In order to fulfill this mission, Follow Your Heart will engage in the following activities:

Foster Program-Animals will be rescued from shelters and placed in temporary foster homes to save them from being euthanized. During this time, animals will be provided with proper nutrition, shelter and analysis to determine appropriate long term housing.

Adoption Services - the organization will work to find each animal that is rescued a forever home that is willing and able to make the long term commitment to a family pet.

Public Education - Abuse, neglect and irresponsible pet ownership leads to thousands of animals being killed each year. One way to combat these issues is through continued public education to not only raise awareness about animal abuse, but also promote responsible pet ownership.

Medical Treatment - Animals rescued will be provided proper medical treatment as needed.
