Meet Capri

Capri is an incredibly sweet, snuggly boy with a gentle and affectionate soul. He loves being close to his people and forms strong bonds with his person, making him a true Velcro companion. Capri listens well and is actively working on his basic commands, and his potty training is coming along nicely.

He adores kids, does great with cats and other dogs, enjoys car rides, and walks well on a leash. Capri’s loving nature and eagerness to please make him a wonderful companion, especially for someone looking for a loyal pup who just wants to be near their family. Because he can become anxious when left alone, he would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time.

Capri is still a puppy and, due to his large size, will need continued training, structure, and patience as he grows. He could be a great match for a first-time giant breed owner who is committed to learning about the breed and investing time in consistent training.

While Capri would enjoy living with another dog and is curious and social, it’s not a requirement. A fenced yard is strongly recommended so he has a safe space to explore, play, and burn off his puppy energy. Because he is still learning his size, a home with older children rather than small children would be the best fit.

Capri is a loving, devoted boy who will reward the right family with endless affection, loyalty, and snuggles.

More about this rescue

Just Giant Rescue Inc (JGRI) is a dog rescue catering to giant breed dogs. We don’t discriminate against breed, but they must be giants such as the regal Great Dane, loyal Mastiff, and clownish Saint Bernard, to name a few.

We strive to follow the 3 R’s.
• Rescuing. We rescue from all types of situations, owner surrenders, and from local shelters. We strive to help as many as we can, with what resources we have available.
• Rehabilitating. All dogs are fostered inside loving homes, becoming temporary family members. They are fully vet checked, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and guarded against heartworm, fleas and ticks. They are also given a temperament test prior to being eligible for adoption.
• Re-homing. Each dog is individually matched with the best suited adoptive home for them. Each applicant wanting to adopt must fill out an application and complete a home check prior to being approved.
