My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosemary & Her Sweet Herb Puppies!

Rosemary is a devoted mama who made quite the journey with her six adorable puppies in search of brighter days. This sweet family came to Pet Rescue By Judy from an overcrowded shelter in the Florida Panhandle. Thanks to a lifesaving road trip, they are now safe with us and ready to find the loving forever homes they so deserve.

Rosemary appears to be a black and tan hound mix with a gentle, nurturing nature. She has taken wonderful care of her babies and has been nothing but loving and patient with them. Rosemary will be looking for her own forever home too, once her puppies are ready.

Her six puppies are named after herbs, and they are just as delightful as their names:

  •  Oregano
  • Dill
  • Thyme
  • Cilantro
  • Parsley
  • Mint(the only girl of the group!)

The puppies are believed to have a Catahoula Leopard Dog father. We think this because many of them have beautiful merle markings and some striking light-colored eyes. These pups are growing, playful, and full of puppy curiosity, and they’re sure to become stunning dogs as they mature.

This sweet little herb garden is ready to spice up your life with love, fun, and puppy kisses. If you’re looking to add a loyal companion—or a little puppy joy—to your family, Rosemary and her puppies would love to meet you.

Important Information for New Puppy Parents

Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog,  dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential .

We  strongly recommend that the  entire family  participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the  same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.

**Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families!  Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success.

More about this rescue

We are a private, non-profit rescue located in Sanford, Florida, dedicated to the rescue cats and dogs. Many of them come to us with medical needs. They are doctored to the best of our ability and resources.

Our most urgent goal is to rescue animals that are abandoned or in distress, update their vaccines, and find good new homes for them. But we attempt to be more proactive than that. It is our heartfelt desire to prevent any animal from the need to be "rescued." With that vision in mind, we take a three-prong approach through the education of pet owners and the general public about:
- proper care of animals, including correct diet of good quality food, fresh clean water, daily exercise, and lots of love
- spaying and neutering companion animals (dogs and cats) in order to prevent euthanasia and over-population
- low-cost spay/neuter clinics and wellness centers in their local community
