My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Chloe ✨
I’m a lovely orange girl with a gentle soul and a warm, affectionate heart. I just need a little time to settle in. I prefer slow introductions and like to get comfortable at my own pace—but once I feel safe, my loving nature truly shines, and I enjoy sharing quiet, cozy moments together 🧡

I adore scratches and gentle affection, especially when they’re given with patience and understanding. When the mood is right, I love curling up nearby, soaking in the warmth, and enjoying calm companionship. I’m very good at communicating my boundaries and will always let you know when I’ve had enough, making me a wonderful match for someone who appreciates clear, honest communication and mutual respect.

I value my space, but when trust is built, I become a deeply comforting, snuggly presence—the kind that warms your heart just by being close. I’m the type of companion who reminds you that the coziest, most meaningful love is built slowly, gently, and with care 🐾💛

Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

I hope to meet you soon!

All of our cats and kittens go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their core vaccines, as well as flea and tick preventatives. Each adoption also includes a 3.5-pound bag of Iams cat food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

More about this shelter

A one-of-a-kind animal welfare organization, Anderson Humane focuses on creating and supporting mutually beneficial relationships between people and animals. Current programming such as our Adoption Program, Military Veterans’ Program, and Healing Paws Pet Therapy Program create positive, impactful connections between people and animals, improving the lives of both. Future programs will be offered in partnership with human-service organizations throughout our community, maximizing impact and changing lives for the better.

Anderson Humane is a resource for pet owners, providing information and services to provide better care for their pets. Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
