Gypsy wants to settle down and make your heart her forever home! Living up to her name, this gal has had quite the adventure the last month - she went from living in a home, to outside during an ice storm, then took refuge under a mobile home with some feral friends. Due to her circumstances and 15 minutes of Facebook fame, several people were frantic over her, worried she may not survive the sudden change of scenery outside. Not only did she survive thanks to a local rescuer who trapped her and got her to us, but Gypsy is THRIVING!
At first, this 3-year-old was unhappy in her intake kennel, hunkering down and letting out a low growl to let you know she was scared. But 5 minutes and one licky tube treat later, Gypsy is your best friend. And now that she's free-roaming in a colony room, she's a volunteer favorite and the definition of a good-natured sweetheart snuggle bug. She loves people, and wants nothing more than to head butt you, nuzzle your hands, and happily roll on her back for scritches all over. She isn't the biggest fan of being picked up yet, but that could change! She's good with the other cats in her colony and previously lived with a few, and would likely be fine with chill dogs with slow introductions. What Gypsy needs the most is patience while she acclimates to yet another new place, and stability so she can trust that she'll be kept inside, safe, warm and loved. She deserves that and more! Gypsy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
