My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Al Catpone! 🐾💙
Al Catpone is a handsome, chunky 15-pound gentleman with the best big cheeks and an irresistible face that you can’t help but fall in love with. This sweet boy is feeling a bit scared in the shelter environment, but underneath that nervous exterior is a very loving, gentle soul just waiting to feel safe again.

Once Al Catpone has time to settle and trust, his affectionate personality shines through. He enjoys quiet companionship, gentle pets, and being near his people, soaking up love at his own pace. He would do best in a calm, patient home that understands he just needs time to adjust and decompress before showing his true, snuggly self.

Al Catpone is truly a sweetheart who deserves a soft place to land—a forever home where he can feel secure, cherished, and adored for the big-cheeked, loving boy he is. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a heart of gold, Al Catpone is ready to steal your heart. 🐱

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
