My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sunny! 🐾🖤
Sunny is an 8-year-old male black cat with a heart full of love and a gentle, sweet soul. Though he is mostly blind and sees shadows, Sunny gets around just fine and doesn’t let it slow him down. He’s a very nice boy who enjoys calm companionship and gentle affection.

Sunny is a Silver Paws VIP–eligible kitty who would thrive in a quiet, stable home where he can feel safe and confident. He loves soft pets, kind voices, and having a familiar routine. His visual limitations make him especially appreciative of patience, understanding, and a loving touch.

Sunny is ready for his forever home—a compassionate family who will cherish him for the wonderful, special boy he is. With his adorable face, sweet personality, and resilient spirit, Sunny is sure to bring warmth, comfort, and unconditional love to his new home. 🐱

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
