Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Evie! Evie is a very shy, sensitive girl who has had a hard time adjusting to the busy shelter environment. Big changes are scary for her, and she’ll need a patient, understanding cat saavy adopter who is willing to let her move at her own pace. With time, patience, and consistency, Evie will slowly begin to blossom and show her true self. She will need plenty of decompression time and extra space to feel safe as she settles into a new home. Building trust with Evie is a gradual process, but it’s one that can be deeply rewarding. Evie has no experience with children or other animals, so any introductions should be very slow and gentle, always keeping her comfort and emotional well being as the priority. Evie is looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who understands that love doesn’t always arrive right away but when it does, it’s incredibly special.

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.
When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.
If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
