Hello guys ☺️ Before anything I need you all to know that this is a really, really hard post to make 😔 You might recognize me as Roy but I go by Bain now. You might be wondering why I’m getting posted for adoption, well let me tell you the humans who love me realized I’d be happiest in a home that’s a better fit for me. I’d thrive best with a little older kids and adopters who have large breed experience. This decision comes from love ❤️ even though it’s incredibly painful🥺 Now let me tell you a little more about me because I’ve been fighting my whole life. When I was first tagged for rescue at a high kill shelter in Houston, something unexpected happened 🤨 The rescue showed up, and due to a mix up, a sweet girl named Alani was brought out instead of me. She was safe, but I was left behind 💔The rescue scrambled, phone calls were made, and at the very last moment, a foster stepped up so I wouldn’t be forgotten 🥹 When I finally left the shelter, my fight wasn’t over. I became very sick with pneumonia and spent time hospitalized, struggling to breathe, trying to understand a world that had never been kind to me 🏥 But I kept going. That’s kind of my thing. All I’ve ever done is fight for air, for healing, for a chance! And I always won 🏆 Today, I’m about two years old and pure goofball energy wrapped in a cuddle bug body 🥰 I love playing ball 🎾 with you or solo, I’m self sufficient like that, flinging my dog bowl around the house for laughs, and soaking up pets and snuggles. I’m house, leash, and crate trained, highly treat motivated, and even tolerate dress up like a champ. Im good with other dogs, cats are unknown. I also have a habit of sitting with my paws crossed because I’m a distinguished gentleman, not because I’m silently judging you 😉 I enjoy a fenced in yard because it’s what I know, but I’d be just as happy with regular walks and adventures 🏕️ What I really need is someone who understands big dogs with even bigger hearts 💕 . I’m silly, 😛 I’m affectionate, I’m resilient. I’m a survivor who never stopped trying. So If you’re looking for a dog who has fought for every good thing in his life and will love you with that same intensity, I’m ready. 🐾💙 The hardest choice might be whether you call me Roy or Bain. but the easiest one? Deciding you want to be my forever.

R.E.A.L Rottweiler Rescue was founded in 2003 by a couple with a passion and love for the Rottweiler breed. We are an all volunteer based 501c3 non-profit rescue organization. Our primary focus has been on Rottweilers, but we also rescue medium and large sized dogs of all breeds. We take in homeless rottweilers and work with them in our homes to assess personality, temperament, training and needs. Then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog and its new family. To date, R.E.A.L. has had over 2000 successful adoptions!
