This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Staten Island with pet care costs.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I have lived with dogs in my previous home.
Sir Reginald Bottomsworth is laying at the front of the kennel, his back facing the bars. He has forward ears and slight dilated eyes. The kennel door is opened and a finger is extended out to him. He leans forward and sniffs. The assessor gently gives him pets on his head and chin, leaning into pets on his chin. The handler then uses a scratcher tool to pet along his back. Sir Reginald Bottomsworth's tail begins to flick back and forth. He lifts his back end into the air as he is being pet on his lower back. He then rolls over onto his back and scent marks. Sir Reginald Bottomsworth gets up, approaching the handler. He is given pets on his head again. He then attempts to exit the kennel. The assessor picks him up and places him back into the kennel. He tolerates pick up with a soft body. Once set down, his tail intermittently swishes.
Sir Reginald Bottomsworth interacts with the observer, solicits/ appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that Sir Reginald Bottomsworth go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in potential for overstimulation.
