My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Goose! I’m a sweet and shy 1-year-old girl. I might be a little nervous at first, but once I feel safe and comfortable, I love to play, explore, and give lots of affection. I enjoy gentle pets, quiet cuddles, and I’ll reward your patience with purrs, head bumps, and even little playful antics when I feel brave.

I would do best in a calm, quiet home where I can take my time to warm up and feel secure. I love having a predictable routine and a family who understands that shy cats just need a little extra patience, encouragement, and love. Once I trust you, I’ll become a loyal, playful, and loving companion who brings joy to your home every day.

I’m ready to find my forever family who will let me grow at my own pace, shower me with gentle love, and enjoy all the sweet, playful moments I have to share.

More about this shelter

Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) is an open-admission, no-kill shelter dedicated to strengthening the relationship between animals and humans through adoptions and education – making a more compassionate community possible.

Our mission is to lead the community in animal welfare and assure sanctuary for animals in need. To that end, we envision a community where all animals are treated with compassion, dignity and respect. We invite the public to join us in our cause to spread humane sentiments throughout our community for the betterment of animals and people alike.

Incorporated in 1965, HAWS has grown along with our community, evolving into a vibrant organization and a lively facility that is the #1 resource for pets and their people.
